The Auction Profit Machine-A review

The Auction Profit Machine is the latest in a long line of e-books on the
subject of selling on eBay. The particular emphasis is the production and selling
of information related products through online auctions.

My first impression when I received details of the program was to dismiss it as just another run of the mill offerings. But in fact after closer scrutiny I realise that co authors Jeff Johnson and Rob Pietras have managed to achieve much more than this.

The Auction Profit Machine actually consists of 3 separate sections. First is the e-book itself which in just under one hundred pages discusses all the various options for finding and creating information products suitable for selling on eBay. The second half of the book covers how to make the sale.

I remember when I first began selling information products on eBay it was very much by trial and error. This e-book to a great extent takes away the guesswork and answers many of the questions that I had at the time. Even now as an experienced information seller I found some useful and interesting ideas and suggestions in the book. It is well written and very readable. If I had a criticism and it is a small one there was a little repetition. The information product formats are listed 3 times but to be honest even this does not detract from an excellent e-book.

The second section of this product is a collection of some of the writings of Bob Serling. Bob is a world-renowned copywriter who has over the last 25 years built up a multi million-dollar information product empire. One of his most popular offerings is his “Info Millions” course and this along with some of his other products come as part
of this program. Although Bob is more known as a “direct response” marketer many of the techniques that are discussed in his course work equally as well on eBay and
for me Bob Serling's contributions are worth the purchase price alone.

Finally there are two video presentations, the first showing how to list a digitally downloadable product. The second video is a very good presentation on how to use the Firezila FTP program which could be very useful to those people who are a little uncertain how to upload items to the Internet. I know this was something that took me a while to master.

The 2 bonuses are “Killer Sales Letter” and “How to create an e-book without ever writing a word” which you may or may not find of use. Overall this is an ideal package for anyone wanting to break into information publishing. It will provide you with all the grounding you would need. However, as we always say with these type of products, nobody ever makes any money by reading a book. You only make money when you apply what you have read and take action. If you are prepared to do that then this could be a very good investment.
